Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is the source of information displayed on the CC Advisor screens?
The CC Advisor uses the current status report - or equivalent - from the ACD Software provided by the PBX manufacturer.

  2. How quickly are the screens updated?
If there is a LAN connection from the CC Advisor server to the ACD software, switch updates are extremely quick. There is literally no delay in the updates. An analog (serial) connection is much slower (at 1200 baud – a switch limitation), so we recommend a second, and even a third real-time switch port to keep the information fresh when there are many queues in a call center.

  3. How many ACD queues, splits or groups can be displayed at one time?
The screen has capacity to display up to eight queues at one time, beyond eight the user can use a scroll bar to see additional queues. Provided we have timely access to the real time report, we can display any number of queues.

  4. How is multi-site reporting accomplished?
The two major issues are connectivity and content. As for connectivity, we require a server at each site where there is a switch with ACD software, and the use of the company's LAN/WAN.

If multi-site reporting requires the accessing of ACD data from different switch manufacturers or different software releases, Chadbourn goes through the process of analyzing the reports and selecting the best “common” statistics. For most of the major switch manufacturers’ products, the analysis of content has been completed. Where new switch platforms are involved, additional lead-time is required.
